Legal Framework
This warranty policy is issued in accordance with:
• Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection,
• Cabinet Decision No. 66 of 2023 (Executive Regulations), and
• Federal Decree-Law No. 50 of 2022 on Commercial Transactions.
These laws guarantee every consumer in the UAE the right to receive goods that meet
approved standards of quality and safety, and to obtain repair, replacement, or refund for
defective products as per Articles 10–24 of the Consumer Protection Law.

Warranty Coverage
All furniture and made-to-order products purchased from The Wooden Colour are covered
by a limited one (1) year warranty starting from the date of delivery mentioned on the invoice
or delivery note.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal
residential use, including:
• Structural damage to frames or joinery due to production fault.
• Cracking, delamination, or peeling of finish caused by manufacturing defect.
• Failure of hardware components (hinges, handles, drawer systems) due to
quality issue.

Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear, fabric fading, scratches, or stains.
• Damage caused by misuse, accidents, impact, exposure to humidity or
sunlight.
• Variation in natural materials such as wood grain, texture, and colour tone.
• Improper assembly, negligence, or alteration by unauthorized persons.
• Commercial, outdoor, or non-residential use unless explicitly stated in writing.

Consumer Rights
Under Article 10 and Article 14 of the Federal Consumer Protection Law:
• The consumer is entitled to a free repair, replacement, or refund for any
product with a proven manufacturing defect.
• The seller (The Wooden Colour) must act without additional cost to the
consumer for such defects, except transportation charges where applicable.
• Replacement or repair must be completed within a reasonable time as per
Cabinet Decision No. 66 of 2023.
Nothing in this warranty limits or waives the consumer’s statutory rights under UAE law.

Warranty Claim Process
To raise a claim under this warranty:
Email info@thewoodencolour.com with:
• Your order number / invoice copy,
• Photographs of the defect, and
• A short description of the issue.
The Wooden Colour will acknowledge receipt within 3 working days.
Inspection or assessment will be completed within 7 working days.
If the issue qualifies for warranty coverage, we will repair or replace the
defective part or product at no additional cost.
If repair or replacement is not possible, a refund or credit will be offered as
per Article 15 of the Consumer Protection Law.
Transportation or on-site service fees may apply depending on the customer’s location, and
these will be clearly communicated before service.

Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
Proof of purchase is required for all claims.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These warranty terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the
United Arab Emirates.
For customers located within UAE free zones, the relevant free zone regulations shall apply
in addition to Federal Law No. 15 of 2020.
In the event of an unresolved dispute, consumers may raise complaints to the Consumer
Protection Department, Ministry of Economy (UAE) in accordance with Article 26 of the Law.

Language
In compliance with Article 3 of the Executive Regulations, these warranty terms are provided
in English.
If translated, the Arabic version shall prevail in case of any discrepancy.
